Who is Elizabeth Wood-Hanna?
Elizabeth “Liz” Wood-Hanna is a former prosecutor in both Norfolk and Portsmouth. She has been in private practice as a general practitioner since 2010. Also, she has appeared in courts throughout the area and is familiar with all judges in Hampton Roads. Liz has conducted over 50 jury trials and is an experienced litigator. A native of the Hampton Roads area, Liz is a 2002 cum laude graduate of Christopher Newport University, graduating a semester early, and a 2006 graduate of the Regent University School of Law. At Regent University she was a recipient of the academic merit scholarship while there as well as the Thomas Munson scholarship. Liz was licensed to practice law in Virginia in October 2006 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Virginia.
Elizabeth began her career as a Commonwealth’s Attorney in both Norfolk and Portsmouth before opening her own private practice in October 2009. She has focused her practice primarily on custody, child support, divorce, and criminal cases. Liz is a member of the Portsmouth Bar Association. She currently resides in Virginia Beach with her husband and three children.
